Thank you for considering being part of our campaign as a 2025 Storyteller! When you volunteer as part of the YMCA of Greater Tulsa’s annual support campaign, Strong Community: For a Better Us, you give more than your time. You tell the Y’s story of impact through opportunities for individuals and families of all ages—opportunity to strengthen spirit, mind, and body in a community-centered, faith-based environment that is unique to the YMCA. Every story shared is a voice amplified, a promise for a positive future for the children and families of our community. With your help we can tell the stories of those lives that have been changed by the YMCA of Greater Tulsa. For a better You. For a better Community. For a Better Us.

As a storyteller, the Y provides all materials you may need out in the field sharing stories of impact. Please contact YMCA Chief Development Officer, Kyle Wilkes if you have any questions about being a volunteer Storyteller.

Storyteller Calendar

We want to equip our Storytellers with the tools you’ll need to share our impact in the community. We have two training opportunities to get ready for our best campaign yet:

  • Tandy Family YMCA, Jan. 21, noon-1:00 p.m.
  • Hutcherson Family YMCA, Jan. 23, 5:30-6:30 p.m.

As a Storyteller we’d like to ask you to attend several key events during the 2025 campaign to celebrate your progress and achievements:

  • Campaign Kickoff at the Anne & Henry Zarrow YMCA on Feb. 5 from 12:00-1:00 p.m.
  • Midway, Week of March 6 at a day and time determined by each branch
  • Campaign Celebration, April 4 at 5:30-6:30 p.m. at a location to be determined
