Summer Day Camp
Adventure Camp (Ages 10-12)
Specialty Camps at Herman & Kate
Our specialty camps provide great opportunities for campers to develop a greater passion for things they love or undertake something new. During our specialty camps, day campers spend a portion of each day in their specialized activity, and the rest of the day is spent enjoying traditional camp activities within their camper group.
Monday – Friday 7am – 6pm.
Lunch and Snack provided!
Adventure Camp (Ages 10-12)
You don’t have to leave town to hike and sleep under the stars! Adventure Campers spend their week learning the fundamentals of surviving in the wild. Activities include hikes over Turkey Mountain, canoeing and fishing in Lake Logan, fort building and campfire safety. Campers will commemorate their accomplishments with a campout on Friday night. They will be able to cook their dinner over the campfire and sleep under the stars!
Adventure Campers will need to bring a sleeping bag for Friday Night.
Parents need to pick up campers by 9 a.m. Saturday.

Disc Golf Ace Camp
Did you know the Herman & Kate Kaiser YMCA has an Aceplace by Innova style disc golf course? Aceplace offers a genuine disc golf experience on a size that’s convenient and quick to play. Designed for the beginner with friendly hole lengths that are fun for all ages and skill sets.
Disc Golf Ace campers will also learn from one of the best in the game, Kyle Wilkes. Kyle is no stranger to the YMCA as a staffer for more than 25 years and a part of the Professional Disc Golf Association since 2000. Kyle has 119 career wins so your camper is sure to walk away ready to join the leader board too!
When you and your friends all get a par on the hole, it’s called a PARty!

Discover the Artist Within campers will be able to explore their artistic ability using a multitude of different mediums. Campers will study well renowned artists and then make their very own creations. Skilled Art Teachers will be available to give students extra guidance and help polish their skills. Iron Chef Camp! (Ages 10-12)
Is your child the next Iron Chef? During this specialty camp your camper will learn how to prepare meals, proper food handling techniques, cooking, and plate presentation. Campers will improve their culinary skills by cooking on everything from a griddle to a cast-iron skillet. They may even prepare a meal right over a campfire!

Payne Stewart Kids Golf Camp (Ages 7-9)
The YMCA is teaming with Payne Stewart Kids Golf Foundation to bring the best introductory to gold experience to our local community! Campers ages 7-9 will learn the fundamentals of golf and character building virtues that will create thriving, life-long citizens in sport and life!
Multi-sport components are used to help children understand that golf is not as complex as it may seem. We want children to have fun and see the results early on so that they know they can play golf as a lifelong sport.

The Ground is Lava!
The Ground is Lava Camp!
Have you ever wondered with the inside of a volcano looks like? How about taking a rocket to the moon? In this camp participants will discover more about the wild world around us and our responsibility to it.
Campers will learn through interactive hands-on activities provided by Tulsa Regional STEM Alliance. STEM is everywhere – from the natural wonders that surround us, the technology we use daily, and in the solutions that will address tomorrow’s challenges. Our highly trained staff will actively engage campers in creative play, teamwork and problem-solving skills!

Trail Blazing Trekkers (Ages 10-12)
Clip in for a week of mountain biking on the rolling dirt and paved trails at Herman & Kate. This specialty camp is led with the help from our friends at Bike Club Tulsa! Trail Blazers will begin with a preliminary instruction and an initial safety ride. Campers will be taught the fundamentals of braking, efficient turning, negotiating obstacles, weight distribution, and downhill techniques.
