A Brazilian martial art incorporating elements of dance, fight, music and trickery into playful athletic sparring to the tempo of traditional rhythms taught by Contramestre Maluco

The Tulsa Taekwondo Academy is a fully accredited school located within the Tandy Family YMCA in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Sixth degree black belt Eric T. Devonshire has been teaching traditional Korean Taekwondo here since 1985. Mr. Devonshire teaches his classes with an emphasis on training the “whole person”; Body, Mind and Spirit. Each student is required to learn, and adhere to the five tenants of Taekwondo: Courtesy, Integrity, Perseverance, Self-Control, and Indomitable Spirit.

UNIFORMS

All participants will be required to wear a uniform called a “dolback”. They may be purchased from your instructor for an additional $35. Dolback’s come with a white beginner belt. White t-shirts should be worn under your dolback.

Children’s Class: Monday & Wednesdays 6:30pm – 7:30pm

Advanced Class: Monday & Wednesday 7:30pm – 8:30pm

Forms & Sparing Class (Colored Belts Only): Friday 6:30pm

PARENT INFORMATION

Class fees are due at time of registration for each month’s session. Please bring your paid receipt with you to the first class each month. Parents are asked not to stay inside the studio during class. We have found that students learn faster and concentrate better when we have their undivided attention.
